
The desert from Tangier
Day 1 – Tanger – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
Arrival in Tangier and pick up at the port or airport of the same city. Departure to Chauen, stop in Tetouan, the Spanish city, arrival in Chauen. We will leave to visit the city of Chauen. We will walk through its streets and among its old blue and white houses, and we will also contemplate its panoramic views. Accommodation and breakfast at the hotel and dinner in Chauen square.
Day 2 – Chaouen – Roman ruins – Meknes – Fez
We leave towards Fes, bordering the Rif forest. Arrival at the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis We will visit the ruins with an "optional" local guide. Continuation to Meknés, a city that reached its peak thanks to Sultan Mulay Ismail. Visit the palace and the famous gate of Bab Mansour, Dar EL Maa and the Granary. Then continuation to Fes.
Day 3 – Fes
Entire day dedicated to the discovery of the intellectual city of the kingdom. There are many monuments that you can visit: Medersas (Koranic Schools): Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin. Souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (first university in the world).
Day 4 – Fez – Ifrane – Azrou-Monkey forest – Erfoud – desert:
From Fez we will go to the Middle Atlas, to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next town will be Azrou "the rock", a Berber town known for its crafts, carpets and wood sculpture, then arrival in Midelt. The path is followed by the Tizi Talghemt or Neck of the Camella, at 1,907 meters of altitude. The relief is impressive, the mountains are completely bare, covered in a purple coat. Day 5 – Erg chebbi desert – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Valley of Roses – Skoura Palm Grove – Ouarzazate
Departure by road towards the palm grove of Rissani y Jorf located on the right bank of the Ued Ziz, then towards the Ksar de Touroug, framed by spectacular oases. Next we will pass through Tinejdad before reaching Tinerhir. After lunch we will walk through the Todra Gorges. Then we will go through the beautiful Boulmane Dades valley visiting Kelaa Me Gouna-Valley of the Roses-, in full splendor during the month of May. Arrival in Ouarzazate, possibility of visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt, which was the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech.
Day 6 – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou-Talouet-Marrakesh:
We will go to Marrakech through the Tiz-in-Tichka neck (2260m), the “neck of the pastures”. The slope is made by an alternative track with the option of visiting the famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a castle declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Then we continue our route to the Capital of El Pachá de Marrakech visiting his palace located in the kasbah of Talouet. We take the winding road to the Tichkaque pass, which offers a spectacular panorama with a multitude of colors over the Haouz plain. Arrival in Marrakesh.
Day 7 – Marrakesh – Marrakesh:
In the morning visit of this city that gave its name to Morocco. It stretches out before the majestic Atlas forecast of snow-capped peaks part of the year. Its destiny is linked to that of the different dynasties that succeed one another and its tradition as a political, economic and cultural metropolis has always dominated the history of the Maghreb. Marrakesh is also the show city, where there is a permanent party as can be seen in the famous Plaza Jemaa el Fna, which for several centuries has been the most incredible popular theater in the world: snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, fortune tellers, actors, fortune tellers... In Marrakech there are countless places to visit, for example, Medersa Ben Yussef , the Menara, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal Garden, the Saadian Tombs and the Badi and Bahia Palaces…. Free afternoon and dinner in the famous square. Night in Riyadh.
Day 8 – End of circuit
Departure from Marrakech and transfer to the airport
