Imperial Cities and Desert

Day 1 – Marrakesh – Telouet – Ait Benhaddou

Picked up at the airport in Marrakech, we depart crossing the High Atlas through the port of Tizi in Tichka (2,260m altitude), then we deviate along a track visiting the Kasbah Telouet , we pass through Berber villages until we reach the fortified town of Ait Benhaddou. Visit the Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, a fortified enclosure within a walled town that you will surely recognize, since this citadel has been the setting for such famous films as Gladiator, Sahara, Asterix and Obelix: Cleopatra Mission, among many others. Near this Kasbah we will spend the night.

Day 2 – Ait Benhaddou – El Draa – Alnif – Merzouga (Desert)

We will continue our route towards the Draa Valley, crossing Ouarzazzate and the Sagro, along the way we will enjoy the palm grove and different Kasbahs. We will take the road that passes through Alnif, we will arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the highest in all of Morocco, and we will stay in a hostel at the foot of the dune.

Day 3 – Merzouga (Desert) – Erg Chebbi

You are already in the desert! …enjoying the magic of the dunes… In the morning, early, when the heat is not yet strong… we take the 4×4 and go to discover these lands: the lake or Dayet Srji full of flamingos , the house of a family of Gnawas or Bambara musicians, descendants of the slaves who came from Black Africa, and who will delight us with their traditional music, we will enter the dunes, where the Paris – Dakar passes. >, we will meet some semi-nomadic families who live as best they can in that sea of ​​sand and stone… A real adventure!! In the afternoon, we return to the hotel and change the 4×4 for the 8×8 (these are camels) that will take us to the heart of the desert where we will contemplate an unforgettable sunset. Upon arrival, an excellent and restorative tea awaits you, an exquisite Berber dinner and all this enlivened with the music of the tam-tam (drums) around a bonfire, to enjoy a unique night, thanks to the large number of stars that populate the nights of the desert. We will sleep in a Berber haima.

Day 4 – Merzouga (Desert) -Rissani – Todra

After enjoying the first light of the new day, we return with the dromedaries to the Lodge to take a comforting shower and leave for Rissani, Morocco's first imperial city. We will then pass through Erfoud, nerve center of work related to fossils, we will also pass through the Tafilalet palm grove and finally we will visit the Todra valley and gorges, where we will spend the night.

Day 5 – Todra – Boumalne du Dades

After breakfast, we can leisurely walk through the Todra palm grove. From there we will continue towards the Berber village: Boumalne du Dades and the valley of the Dades Gorges where we will stay.

Day 6 – Boumalne du Dades – Valley of the Roses, Boutghrar

We will continue our route in the morning, taking an unpaved road towards a Berber village, half hidden between the mountains of the Middle Atlas, and from there continue towards the Valley of the Roses, where we will stay in a Kasbah. .

Day 7 – Valley of the Roses – Marrakech

We will say goodbye to the Valley of the Roses and with the company of the palm grove of Skoura we will head towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Atlas and arriving in the early hours of the afternoon to Marrakech. Afternoon in Marrakech to enjoy the lively life in the Square of DJemaa el Fna, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Day 8 – Marrakesh

We will have breakfast, and at the agreed time, we will go to the airport and end of the trip.
