Complete trip to Morocco
Day 1 – Fes
Pick up at the airport transfer to the hotel. This day is reserved to get to know Fez, the oldest imperial city in Morocco, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. You will visit the Medina of Fez el-Bali, one of the largest preserved medieval sites in the world, declared a World Heritage Site more than 30 years ago. After the Medina, you will see the Medersa Attarine, one of the most beautiful Koranic schools in Fez. The next points on the itinerary are the Fountain Ennajarine and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, founder of Fez. Then continue to the Karawiyin Mosque, belonging to the Karawiyin University, the oldest in history, founded in the year 880 and, finally, you will be able to visit the Medina of Fez Jdid, the new part of the city. Day 2 – FES – MEKNES – CHAOUEN
After breakfast, departure to Meknes, one of the most important imperial cities in Moroccan territory. There you can visit luxurious palaces and beautiful mosques as well as some of the most important souks in Morocco. Later they will continue to Chaouen (known as the blue town). Dinner and accommodation in a hotel or riad in Chaouen.
Day 3 – CHAOUEN – TETOUAN – TANGIER – ASSILAH
Chaouen, a holy city perched on the mountain, located within a natural biosphere reserve. Its streets painted white and blue, a town of wise, kind and respectful people, offer the visitor beautiful urban panoramas in decline, precious examples of local crafts and a peace and serenity that is difficult to find today. After the visit, continuation to the Atlantic coast to sleep in Assilah, making a stop on the way to make a brief visit to Tetouan. Accommodation and dinner in Assilah.
Day 4 – ASSILAH – LARACHE – RABAT
After breakfast, we will take a tour of Assilah, to walk through its streets, visit the medina, get to know its walls, and relax with the charm of this city. Continuation towards Rabat, making a stop in Larache. Dinner and hotel accommodation in Rabat.
Day 5 – RABAT- CASABLANCA – EL JADIDA
After breakfast, pick up at the hotel to see Rabat, where you will visit: the Alcazaba de los Oudaias, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, Essouïqa and Medium. This city is ideal for buying silver at a very affordable price. At the end of the visit s leave Rabat towards Casablanca, where they will visit the Great Mosque, the only one that can be visited in all of Morocco. Day 6 – EL JADIDA – SAFI – ESSAOUIRA
In the morning, departure to Safi, one of the places recommended for its pottery. At the end of your visit, you will continue along the coastal road towards Essaouira, where you will be able to enjoy the charm of its streets, its people and its beaches. Day 7 – ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKESH
After breakfast you will start your trip to Marrakech, crossing the entire Marrakech plain (Haouz), an amazing area due to its contrasts, since it is very green in winter thanks to the temperatures, becoming arid and desert in summer. . This road is especially dangerous due to the large number of carts pulled by mules that circulate on it. Arrival in Marrakech after lunch. Free afternoon to discover the city. Day 8 – MARRAKECH
In the morning, a guided tour of Marrakesh, which gave its name to Morocco. Marrakech is a spectacular city, where there is a permanent party as can be seen in the famous Djema el Fna Square, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which for several centuries has been the most incredible popular theater in the world. world: snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, fortune tellers, actors, fortune tellers... But we cannot forget that its destiny is linked to that of the different dynasties that have succeeded it, as well as its tradition as a political metropolis, economic and cultural heritage has always dominated the history of the Maghreb. In Marrakech there are countless places to visit, for example, Medersa Ben Youssef, the Menara, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal Garden, the Saadian Tombs and the Badi and Bahia Palaces. Day 9 – MARRAKECH – TELOUET – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE
Departure after breakfast crossing the High Atlas, through the port of Tizi in Tichka (2,260m altitude), the highest port in Morocco. The road deviates here along a track, visiting the Kasbah Telouet, and crossing Berber villages until reaching the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, declared a World Heritage Site. Day 10 – OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE
In the morning, you will continue your route towards the Draa Valley, crossing Ouarzazate and the Sagro. Along the way you will enjoy the palm grove and different Kasbahs. In the afternoon, return to Ouarzazate, visiting the Oasis of Fint and the film studios. Dinner and accommodation in hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 11 – OUARZAZATE – SKOURA – DADES VALLEY
Visit to the famous Kasbah of Taourit. Later, you will continue towards the Palm Grove of Skoura, where you can admire its ancient Kasbahs. . They will tour and visit the Valley of Dades and the Valley of the Roses Kelaa Moruna, to once again arrive by track at the Valley of Dades. Day 12 – DADES – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA
Departure by road towards the Todra Gorge; after touring them, the journey will continue through the Tafilalet Palm Grove, passing through Rissani, the nerve center of the work associated with fossils. Finally, you will reach the wonderful dunes of Erg Chebbi, the highest in the country. Dinner and lodging in a hostel at the foot of the dunes.
Day 13 – MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI – MERZOUGA
After breakfast, you will tour the Erg Chebbi dunes, visiting the village of Khamlia (original inhabitants of Mali) to listen to African music, the lake or Dayet Srji full of flamingos, the mines of Mifiss, the oasis of Tissardmine and fossil quarries. At noon I return to the lodge. In the afternoon, they will enter the desert on the back of dromedaries, heading towards the dunes to attend the majestic sunset in the desert and later to the tent camp. Upon arrival, an excellent and refreshing tea and an exquisite Berber dinner await you. They will liven up the night with the music of the tam-tam around a bonfire, being able to enjoy the stars. Day 14 – MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – ZIZ – MIDELT
After seeing the sunrise, they will return by dromedary to the lodge in Merzouga to have breakfast and shower. Departure for Rissani, where you will visit its market, unique in these latitudes: a place where the tribes and desert nomads get their supplies. Curious to see its donkey market. They will then go to Erfoud, where they will be able to enter the world of its fossils. The rest of the way, you will cross the Ziz Valley, famous for spectacular panoramic views of beautiful palm groves and gorges. They will cross the Cuello de Camello pass (1,907m above sea level). Arrival in Midelt. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Midelt.
Day 15 – MIDELT – AZROU – FES
After breakfast, departure by road to the Bosque de Cedros, an obligatory stop to see the monkeys in freedom that populate its branches; followed by Ifrane, considered the Moroccan Switzerland. Arrival in Fez. Transfer to the indicated place or transfer to the airport.
